The Douglas Hyde Foundation supports the creation of a modern archive for the Conradh na Gaeilge (The Gaelic League) collection. This collection is comprised of over 10,000 documents stored at three locations. Access for researchers is severely limited and hampered by the lack of modern cataloguing of the collection. Access for the general public is not currently possible. The Douglas Hyde Foundation plans to facilitate the creation of a modern archive which will make this rich resource available to Ireland and the world, and which will help to place the history of the Gaelic Revival at the center of the historical discourse about Ireland.
